By downloading or using Status Saver & Video to MP3 (the "app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What the app does
The app helps you:
- view and save photo and video statuses that WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business have already written to your device's statuses folder;
- manage what you have saved (share, delete, sort, filter);
- extract audio from video and convert between audio formats (MP3 / M4A / AAC), including trimming a clip and setting it as a ringtone;
- compress images and videos to reduce their size.
All of this runs on your device.
2. Not affiliated with WhatsApp
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. "WhatsApp" is a trademark of its respective owner and is used here only to describe what the app is compatible with. The app is an independent utility that reads media files the WhatsApp application has already saved to your device's public storage. It does not modify, automate, intercept, or interfere with WhatsApp itself, and it does not access your messages or chats.
3. Your responsibilities for saved content
This is the most important term in this document, so please read it.
Statuses you can view belong to the people who posted them. Saving a copy for personal offline viewing is generally accepted, but you are solely responsible for what you do with it.
You agree that you will not use the app to:
- re-publish, distribute, or commercially exploit someone else's photo or video without their permission;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- harass, defame, threaten, or impersonate anyone;
- save or distribute content that is illegal to possess or share where you live.
We provide a tool. We do not host, review, moderate, or control any content you save, and we accept no responsibility for how you use it. If you are unsure whether you may reuse a piece of content, ask the person who posted it.
4. Ads and the ad-removal purchase
The app is free and supported by advertising.
- Ads. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob. We do not control which specific ads are shown.
- Ad removal. A one-time in-app purchase removes ads across the whole app. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play, subject to Google Play's terms. We do not handle your payment details.
- The ad-removal purchase is tied to the Google account that bought it. Reinstalling the app or moving to a new device on the same Google account restores it; a different Google account does not carry the purchase.
- Refunds are described in our Refund Policy and are governed by Google Play's refund rules.
5. Availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and may update or discontinue the app at any time. We try to preserve compatibility, but we cannot guarantee that a specific feature will remain available indefinitely. Third-party changes outside our control — for example, changes to Android's storage model or to how WhatsApp stores status files — may affect functionality.
6. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every status will be detected, or that every conversion or compression will succeed with every file or codec.
Back up anything you care about. Media processing can fail, and storage can be lost. You are responsible for your own backups.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MobileByteSensei is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, media, files, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free app with an optional one-time purchase, is at most the price of that purchase.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its name, design, and code are owned by MobileByteSensei and protected by applicable law. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the app, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
Open-source components included in the app remain under their own licences, which are listed in Settings → Open-source licenses inside the app.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you breach these terms. Sections 3, 6, 7, and 8 survive termination.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
